`Death pit´ signboards on huge potholes warn motorists

Tirupur: Frustrated over the city corporation`s apathy on maintaining roads, a group of social activists staged a novel protest by placing signboards on potholes on arterial roads of the city with a caption reading `Death Pit`. Though the civic body responded swiftly, it filled up potholes where signboards were kept. Avinashi Road, an arterial road in the city, is riddled with huge potholes.
